Lolita Lovely Review

Hi beautiful people! I feel like it's been kinda forever since I blogged on here. I've been busy with work and work and more work, but most importantly I've been busy trying to figure out what I'm doing with my life. And although I've gotten no where with that, I've been discovering bits and pieces of myself along the way~ 

I guess one of the coolest things I've done in my absence is spontaneously deciding to get a tragus piercing! I've always been kinda fascinated with that piercing and on one of my days off work, I decided to get it! I absolutely adore my piercing and to my surprise, it didn't really hurt haha. I've also been on a crazy stationery / bujo - ish kick. It's not exactly bullet journaling; I find quotes that speak to me and I pretty much create a spread around the quote using Haikyuu or manga / anime pics of my baes. I have found it to be extremely relaxing especially since my anxiety has been reaching an all new high recently. Perhaps I will dabble a bit in the actual bullet journaling but I'm always nervous in trying something new, haha. I have also been collecting washi tapes as a new hobby and obsessively reading BL~

I just finished watching this 12 ep BL anime yesterday called Hitorijime My Hero and lemme just say it iS AMAZING. The music is really good and everyone is so cute!!!! I definitely recommend and here is trailer~

But enough on me, today's new review is on the super cute store called Lolita Lovely on Etsy. The owner, Meg, was kind enough to send me a few items from her store. I received the black and red flower ribbon choker and the black velvet choker with white trim and purple flower. 

July Favorites - Romper Edition

Hi friends! I hope you have all been doing well. After some consideration, I decided that I wanted to blog more besides items that are sent to me for review. I actually considered different things like should I write about my slow journey to improving my handwriting / faux calligraphy, should I write reviews on skincare products...but after reading through a lot of fashion blogs, I decided I wanted to try to do 'favorites' blog posts. While I have become a bit busier through work, I still love blogging and writing and I think this is a great outlet for me to test out different styles of writing.

This post is a bit late; I originally had intended to post this before August 1st (hence the name July favorites lol) but things happened and this post got pushed back, yay.

I don't know about you, but I'm seeing rompers everywhere. Five ago, if you had given me a romper to wear, I would've thrown it back in your face and called you crazy. Looking at the very boyish style I used to wear, I find it amazing that my own personal style has evolved so much. Yes, I am still quite insecure about many parts of my body but thanks to so much support from my friends, I am slowly becoming more confident. Rompers would've scared the shit out of me back then; I'm proud to say I have...three of these scandalously short items in my closet. I used to never enjoy showing anything above my calf (lol) because hellooooo thunder thighs but oh well. Summer is a time to be a little more daring and what's the point of life if you don't live a little?

I recently quit my job at Muji to work at my other job full time~ yay! I'm very excited to begin officially as a full timer at a wonderful place.

Hi friends! I hope you have all been doing well. I've been really sick this past week which is why I've been pretty much MIA from social media. I received an email confirmation on my order on June 5th and the dress arrived on June 15th. As always it was securely packaged! I was really excited about this dress because bananas! I love bananas and I had a mild obsession with them a year ago when I splurged on banana plush and accessories. Unfortunately I had to give most of them to my cousins in Taiwan because my mom didn't want to bring them in our luggage lol. Half of them turned into chew toys for my cousins' dogs. 

Anyways, on the to the dress! The material is actually pretty thin and very light. Unfortunately it's not very soft; instead it is quite stiff! I do like the form of the dress, I think the skirt part is very loose and comfortable. I think the combination of the white color dress and banana print screams summer to me! 

This is such a cute and fun dress to wear out! The banana print gives off a playful vibe and the light fabric makes it ideal for summer.
