Casual maxi dress

Hi friends! I hope you have been doing well! I've been doing alright myself, just counting down the days until graduation. There's still about two weeks left before becoming officially an adult and I'm so nervous. I spent the better part of today applying for jobs and internships and I have my fingers crossed for good news!

I received a confirmation email on May 16th and the dress arrived on May 23rd. Like last time, it was packaged very securely.

I was a little nervous about this dress because the dress could completely swamp my figure and make me look fat. When it came, I noticed that the material is a bit thin and a little sheer. It is pretty comfortable tho and soft; I don't think the thinness is an issue because it makes it a nice summer maxi dress! Because of the sheerness, I wore a black (I don't have any other colors) extra long cami underneath to cover up my underwear.

The color is a lovely shade of light coffee brown. I was a little disappointed to see that the neckline wasn't as wide as it appeared in the stock photos. The length reaches a little above my ankle (I'm 5'6).

I've worn this dress out several times to class and to casual dinners with my friend. I like pairing it with a cropped denim jacket to lengthen the appearance of my body. I think a cute thin belt would be a great addition to emphasize your curves. Here I am wearing it with my wire rimmed glasses, two braids and a Gudetama hair clips along with my landyard and some gold metallic sandals. This look is very casual but I became cold during the night.

Overall, I do like the dress and I know I'll be wearing it a lot during the summer! The great part is that it doesn't take forever to throw together an outfit with this dress. I would also suggest wearing a simple long necklace to add a bit of oomph to your look.
