K-Aesthetic Dress

Hi friends! I hope you have all been doing well~ I am about to begin finals week next week so I wanted to finish up this review before I am slammed with papers to do!

Today's review is on the striped strappy dress from Romwe.  Romwe is a really amazing online store with a huge selection of clothes and accessories. I guarantee you will find something you like! They are always having sales so please make sure to take advantage of those~

I received an order confirmation email on May 19th and the dress arrived on May 28th. As always it was packaged securely.

This dress reminds me of one of those Korean aesthetic dresses you see on Tumblr...probably because of the striped top and plain black bottom. The material is surprisingly thin, but I don't mind much because I anticipate wearing it a lot in the summer. The entire dress is quite stretchy and feels cool on the skin. I always worry about wearing stripes (which is why I often don't) because stripes create the illusion that your body is wider than it actually is. It also emphasizes fat rolls (which I have a lot of..lol). However, I don't think this dress really did that for me probably because the stripes are very narrow. The dress also has cute suspender straps that criss cross on the back!

Here is the dress on its own. As you can see the suspenders move around! I got a bit tangled with them when I first put on the dress for some reason...lol. But I do like the contrast of the vertical suspender with the horizontal stripes!

I added a cropped denim jacket with the dress and my favorite white baymax backpack. I think this is a very cute and casual outfit for school! The light color denim contrasts really nicely with the black and white of the dress. I would also like to point out that the skirt part of the dress is a little sheer.

Yay, school outfit~ this dress is really cute and I love it! It's a great casual piece to have and can be worn with so many different jackets / tops for different looks.
